Our Treatments
Orthopedic & Sports Acupuncture
We treat any kind of pain-
A thorough functional assessment will tell us if symptoms are caused by a mechanical imbalance or by chronic systemic issues. If pain is caused by a mechanical issue we test all muscles in the area of concern. We will asses if they perform at their optimum. Our treatment session will identify not optimally functioning muscles followed by their restoration through (electro) acupuncture. We are specializing in dry needling and trigger point/ motor point acupuncture. Besides musculoskeletal pain we also help with a
thletic performance enhancement.
If we identify a systemic imbalance as main cause of pain we likely will suggest Chinese Herbal Medicine as main treatment modality and propose an appropriate treatment plan.

Chinese Herbal Medicine
Chinese Herbal Medicine has a history of several thousand years. It can be highly effective for a variety of conditions. Herbs used in Chinese Herbal Medicine are natural products identified to supplement the bodies own healing abilities. For example we use herbs in custom prescriptions that are known to have anti-inflammatory properties, increase circulation, increase immunity and much more.
A Chinese herbal prescription will be formulated based on the patients “pattern”. It is up to the practitioner to identify the patients pattern based on history, pulse and tongue diagnosis. It differs from allopathic medicine since several “western illnesses” could be part of one single pattern. For example conditions such as insomnia, acid reflux, headache could all have the same underlying cause which will be addressed by the herbal formula. An herbal prescription will be adjusted by the practitioner throughout the treatment course to address changes in presentation. The practitioner always asks a series of questions, looks at the tongue and checks the pulse to diagnose the pattern.

LED Light Therapy
Naturally relieves pain, treats acne, and reduces signs of aging through the power of light (stand alone or add on to acupuncture).
Gua Sha (Cupping and Moxibustion)
The practitioner will decide if any of the above modalities are needed to enhance acupuncture treatment effects. These modalities are not offered as stand alone therapies.
With Gua Sha, a practitioner will use a smooth-edged tool to gently scrape areas of your body where there is inflammation or stagnant qi to help improve circulation and promote healing.
Moxibustion involves the burning of mugwort to promote healing with acupuncture. The patient often will be educated to perform Moxibustion at home. The purpose is to strengthen the blood, stimulate the flow of qi, and maintain general health.
People have used Cupping for thousands of years to get relief from respiratory issues, ease musculoskeletal pain, headaches and other problems.
